Free die forgings produced by hydraulic press with 8 Mn or hammer with 30 kn or more are called large free die forgings. The die forgings produced by the die forging press over 60 mn, the hydraulic press over 80 Mn or the die forging hammer over 100 kn are large die forgings.

Large die forgings are mainly used in electric power, metallurgy, petrochemical, ship, locomotive and rolling stock, die, aerospace, heavy machinery and automobile, mining machinery, general machinery and other industries.
